Mr. Brian K. Bisenius, 30, of 3140 Baker St., Marion, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, died after a brief illness at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dubuque, with burial in St. John's Cemetery, Placid, rural Epworth, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, Dubuque, where there will be a St. Patrick's Catholic Church Parish Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Bisenius worked at Eastman Kodak Co., now known as Danka Corp., and started as a field engineer and was later promoted to management.

He was born on Feb. 2, 1971, in Dubuque, son of David and Beatrice "Bea" (McDermott) Bisenius. He married Cynthia S. Westermeyer on June 4, 1994, in Dubuque.

Brian grew up in Dubuque and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1989. He then attended and graduated from Hamilton Technical College, Davenport, Iowa, with a bachelor of science degree in electronic engineering in 1993.

Brian liked sports, camping, fishing and nature. He was a very loyal Tennessee Titans professional football fan. His main priority in life was spending time with his wife, children and family. He was an exceptional father and has been a role model to many people. He will be sadly missed beyond words and we thank God for giving us Brian for 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia S. (Westermeyer) Bisenius, of Marion; a daughter, Kara Bisenius, at home; two sons, Cody and Jason Bisenius, both at home; his father, David Bisenius, of Dubuque; his mother, Beatrice "Bea" (Richard) Soens, of Dubuque; a sister, Fran (Steve) DeJong, of Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers, David Bisenius Jr. and Joseph (Amy) Bisenius, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his paternal grandparents, Dr. Edwin and Louise Bisenius, of Cascade, Iowa; and his mother-in-law, Mary J. Westermeyer, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Bisenius, on July 23, 1999; his maternal grandparents, Ambrose and Ruth McDermott; and his father-in-law, Gary L. Westermeyer, on Feb. 5, 2001.

The family requests no flowers. A Brian K. Bisenius Memorial Fund has been established by his family.
