Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - Sunday, September 10, 2017
PEOSTA, Iowa - Dale Allen Koos, 37, of Peosta, Iowa, entered eternal peace on August 28, 2017, on his farm, which was his pride and joy.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 11th, 2017, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Key West. Private funeral services will be held at St. John Catholic Church in Placid.

Dale was born on October 23, 1979, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Donald and Ruth (Lewis) Koos. He graduated from Hempstead High School and attended NICC, then graduated from UNI with a Construction Management Degree.

He married Jennifer Ann Weber on June 25, 2011, in Placid. Dale devoted his life to trucking with Bellevue Sand and Gravel, Fassport, Western Coop, then Molo, but most recently worked at Rite Hite.

His passions in life were farming with his dad and family, along with being a father and a foster-father.

Dale was a great man, loving husband and father, and devoted son. Dale made everyone smile with his silly grin. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by Hunnybun (his wife) Jennifer; sons, Jayeden (4) and Justin (3) Koos; his parents Donald and Ruth Koos; paternal grandmother Loretta Koos; aunts and uncles, Richard (Lynn) Koos, Jane (Roger) Edwards, and Judy Lewis; his in-laws, Ronald and Barbara Weber, Amanda (Benjamin) Flessner, Theresa Weber, Abigail (Kyle) Gibson, Katie Weber (special friend Jonna Berry), Mike Weber, Anna Weber, Ben Weber, Becca Weber (special friend Josh Wanzek), and Louis Weber; along with many nieces, nephews, former foster children, and special cousins, Joe (Diane) Edwards, Jason (Lori) Edwards and Janell (Joe) Cannavo.

Dale was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Velma and Joe Lewis; paternal grandfather John Koos, and brother-in-law Jarad Weber.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and thoughtful actions.

In lieu of flowers, a Dale Allen Koos memorial fund will be established.
