Stella M. Wilwert, 92, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 2335 Rosedale, died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Heritage Manor.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be a scripture wake service at 5 p.m.

She was born on Jan 27, 1908, in Holy Cross, Iowa, daughter of John and Angeline (Schmitt) Theisen. She married Clarence P. Wilwert in 1929, in Holy Cross; he died in 1984.

She was an active member of St. Anthony's Parish since 1946, belonging to its rosary society, St. Ann's Circle, and also took responsibility for the church linens for 47 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Rose Mary (Richard) Ariagno, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Darlene (Ron) Bickford, of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; a son, Gerald (Mary) Wilwert, of Davenport, Iowa; a brother, Otto Theisen, of Epworth, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Theresa Lex and Cecelia Wilgenbusch; and two brothers, George and Leo Theisen.

In lieu of flowers, a Stella M. Memorial Fund has been established.

The family of Stella wishes to extend a special thank you to the family, neighbors and friends who visited and supported their mother at her home and also the staff at Heritage Manor and Hospice of Dubuque for their kind and loving care.
