At Buffalo, N.Y. in 1850 she was married to James Moran and in the year 1856 came to Iowa, locating in Jones county, where they resided until eleven years ago when they came to Cascade.

Her husband, James Moran, and eight children, six daughters and two sons, survive her and mourn the loss of a faithful wife and loving, mother. The children are Mrs. Lamey, Mrs. M. Larson, Mrs. Larson, and Mrs. S. Welch, all of Helena, Montana; Mrs. E. Stuart of Spokane Falls, Wash.; Mrs. K. Kiburtz of Monticello, Iowa; John Moran of Hasting, Neb.; Thomas Moran of Clay township, Jones county.

Mrs. Moran was a devout Christian woman, a consistent Catholic and a devoted member of St. Martin’s congregation. She was beloved by her family and highly regarded by all who knew her. Her death is sincerely mourned by the entire community.

The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Martin’s church at 9 o’clock, when Requiem High Mass was celebrated in which ceremony Rev. L. Roche, pastor, was celebrant, Rev. J. J.
