Saundra Londquist

Saundra Sue Londquist, 75, of Burlington, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice in West Burlington.

Born October 30, 1948, in Batavia, IA, she was the daughter of Bernard and Helen Smith Kelley. On February 24, 1968, she married Jerry Londquist at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, IA.

Saundra was a 1966 graduate of Fairfield High School and worked at Philco in Fairfield, IA before becoming a Stay-at-Home mom. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the United Women in Faith (UMW) and the Burlington Fire Department Auxiliary. Saundra loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to all her children and grandchildren’s activities, needlework, puzzle books, and reading books.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Jerry Londquist of Burlington, daughter Melinda (Gordon) O’Field of Knoxville, IA, son Jason “Jake” (Janelle) Londquist of Kingston, IA, granddaughter Courtney (Chris) Jackson of Waukee, IA and grandson Logan Londquist of Kingston, IA, sister, Sheryl (Ed) Nelson of Lockridge, brother, Rodger Kelley of Henderson, NV, brother-in-law Tom Londquist and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her grand dog Ruger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Kelley, her in-laws, Gerald & Virginia Londquist, and sisters-in-law Nancy Londquist and Vicki Londquist.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Those considering an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers may direct memorials to the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice in West Burlington, IA. or Grace United Methodist Church in Burlington, IA.
