Rose M. Eccles, 61, of Sweetwater, Texas, formerly of 2133 S. 10th St., Burlington, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 1996, at All Saints Episcopal Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Born Dec. 8, 1934, in Newtown, Mo., she was the daughter of James Frank and Velma C. Miller Ravenscroft. She married Wendell "Wendy" W. Eccles on June 4, 1961, in Burlington. He died June 17, 1992.

Mrs. Eccles was a graduate of Burlington High School. She was a baker for the Burlington School System, retiring in 1992.

She was a former member of West Avenue Baptist Church, Burlington.

Survivors include one son, James Wayne Eccles of Sweetwater, Texas; one sister, Clarice Wagler of Colona, Ill.; her stepmother, Lucille Ravenscroft of Burlington; one grandson; and two nieces.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be after noon today in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Eccles will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Olson officiating. The Rev. James Wayne Eccles will present the eulogy. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
