Herman Binder, 81, of Burlington route 2, died Saturday (4 Apr 1954) at 817 N. 5th street after an extended illness.
He was born in Burlington Dec. 5, 1872, the son of *Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Binder. Mar. 8, 1898, he married Anna Pfadenhauer in Burlington.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Kester and Mrs. Melba Cludy of Burlington, and Mrs. Vera Holstein of Detroit; two sons, Millard, of Burlington, and Horace, with the navy; a sister, Mrs. Mary Warth of Burlington; a brother, August Binder of Burlington; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His wife, a daughter and his parents are dead.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Giles funeral home. The Rev. Ernst Press will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
