MEDIAPOLIS - George Johnson, 66, of Mediapolis, died at 4 a.m. Friday, March 10, at Burlington Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 26, 1911 at LaCrew, the son of William Todd and Daisey Hallock Johnson. He married Ida Mae Gibbs, Jan. 25, 1932; she died Dec. 11, 1972.
He was a farmer and member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Mediapolis.
Surviving: Daughter, Mrs. Donna Eversmeyer, Wapello; son Ronald, Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday, Immanuel Lutheran church, Mediapolis, Rev. Carl Beyerhelm; Kossuth cemetery.
