Mrs. Alice Poggemiller

MEDIAPOLIS - Mrs. Alice Mae Poggemiller, 84, of Mediapolis, died at 1:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in Burlington's Memorial hospital.

She was born Apr. 29, 1889, at Yarmouth, Ia., the daughter of George and Amelia Glitsch Fye. She married Wilbur Charles Poggemiller Dec. 23, 1914, at Mt. Union.

She was a member of the Methodist church and the Berean Sunday school class.

Surviving: The husband; three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Metzger, Mrs. Alva (Delores) Black, Jr., both of Morning Sun, Mrs. Guyla Linder, Wapello; one son, Wilbur, Jr., Wapello; three sisters, Mrs. Arnold Hale, New London, Mrs. Lester Moul, Wayland, Mrs. Carlton Caldwell, Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Clarence, Herbert and Theodore Fye, all of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 .m. Sunday, Methodist church, Mediapolis, Rev. Delbert Terry and Rev. Milford Schmidt; Kossuth cemetery. The body is at Fry Chapel, Mediapolis.
