Ralph "Sy" Hutchcroft, 82, Morning Sun, died Sunday, March 2, at Burlington Medical Center.
He was born April 25, 1903, near Mediapolis, to Chandler and Ora E. Blake Hutchcroft. He married Marie Oberman in February 1923; she died May 25, 1974.
They farmed in the Mediapolis, Wapello and Morning Sun communities. He was a Protestant.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet Enke, Morning Sun, and Linda Anderson, Plano Texas; one son, Jack, Manchester, Mo.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Interment of the cremated remains are pending.
