Milton H. Weigel

Milton H. Weigel, 78, of Route 3, Irish Ridge Road, died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 1993, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Jan. 3, 1915, in Burlington, he was the son of Joseph and Anna Weigel. He married Maxine Ward Dec. 25, 1938, at West Burlington Methodist Church.

He was a graduate of Burlington High School and had been a farmer and a musician.

Mr. Weigel was a long-time member of Latty United Church of Christ prior to belonging to First Christian Church, where he was a member of the choir. He also was a member of RSVP and a 14-year member of the Harmonaires Band.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jean Smith of Burlington; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call after noon Friday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lunning Chapel.

The funeral for Mr. Weigel will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel with Dr. Traverce Harrison officiating. Burial will be in North Walker Cemetery, rural Burlington.

A memorial has been established for the choir at First Christian Church.
