Frances Hellenthal Zachmeyer 1921 - 2006

Born Oct. 6, 1921, in Mediapolis, she was the daughter of Edward and Marie Scott Hellenthal. On Feb. 8, 1944, she married Kenneth Lee. He died Sept. 15, 1963. On Nov. 17, 1984, she married Dale E. Zachmeyer in Burlington.

Mrs. Lee-Zachmeyer worked for the Burlington School District. She retired in 1985.

She was a member of SS. John and Paul Catholic Church. She loved flowers.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jerry A. Lee of Summerville, S.C., and John D. Lee of Cross River, N.Y.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one nephew.

Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, an infant twin sister, one infant son and one grandson.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home. There will be a 6 p.m. rosary service, with family meeting friends following the service until 8 p.m.

The Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Lee-Zachmeyer will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Patrick J. Hilgendorf as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in rural Kingston.
