Orval Henry Hellenthal, 85, of 1421 Thul, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday Jan. 7, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Aug. 26, 1903, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Frank and Clara Walker Hellenthal. He married Winona M. Bruhl on Aug. 31, 1926, at Davenport, Iowa.
He was an upholsterer at Chittenden and Eastman Co., retiring in 1968 with 45 years of service. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Upholsterers Union and the Burlington Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert O. Hellenthal, Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Evalyn Engstrom, Burlington; three brothers, Roy Hellenthal and Frank Hellenthal, both of Burlington, and Harry "Mike" Hellenthal, Fort Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends my call Monday at the Lunning Chapel
The service for Mr. Hellenthal will be 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. David Bergstrom officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
