ANDREW SPRINGSTEEN DIES AT OQUAWKA, ILL.

Oquawka, Ill., Nov. 9 - Andrew Springsteen, 63 years old and a resident of Oquawka for many years died suddenly Sunday afternoon, a victim of apoplexy. His sons, Elmer and Walter, returning from a hunting trip, found him dead in his home.

Mr. Springsteen was a mechanic and boatbuilder. He was born in Oquawka on March 17, 1862, and was married in Ft. Madison o June 8, 1883, to Lydia Jane Haynes, who died fourteen years ago.

He was the father of eleven children, two of whom preceded him in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. E.C. Rappenecker of Burlington and Mrs. Fred Lant of Lomaille, Ill., seven sons, James and Boyd of Richards, Mo., Clarence of Casper, Wyo., Harry and Louis of Burlington, and Elmer and Walter at home; two sisters, Mrs. William Catterson, and Mrs. John Tubbs of Oquawka, and eighteen grandchildren.

Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed, pending word from relatives living at a distance.
