DELHI, Iowa - Eugene A. Wuchter, 68, of Delhi, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville. Friends also may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where there will be a parish scripture service at 7 p.m.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1931, in Dyersville, son of August and Bernice (Reittinger) Wuchter. He married Louise Marion Herron on Oct. 5, 1954.

He was a veteran and served in the Marines during the Korean War.

Surviving are four sons, Eugene H. "Butch" (Melanie), of Platteville, Colo., Edward J. (Candy), of Wiggins, Colo., and Eric J. and Jake, both of Delhi; two daughters, Marilyn (Fidel) Pinote, of Columbia, Tenn., and Mary Ann (James) Townsend, of Sioux City; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a sister, Elsie Dingbaum, of Dyersville; and a special friend, Shirley Shaw, of Manchester.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Quinton; two sisters, Dell Rose Roling and Mae Louise Roling; and two brothers, LaVern (Tiny) and Sylvarious (Ike) Wuchter.
