Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. September 24, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, Iowa, for Travis Allen Krapfl, 17, of Manchester, Iowa, who died at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

Visitation was held from 1 to 8 p.m. September 23, 2012 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends were able to call after 9 a.m. at the church on Monday. Interment was held September 24, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.

Travis Allen Krapfl was born on March 19, 1995, in Manchester, the son of Chris and Deb (McGrane) Krapfl. Travis was raised and educated in the area, and was currently a senior at West Delaware High School.

Travis was active in Special Olympics, MDA, and the Mighty Mississippi Hog Chapter. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., football, Face Book, “Play Station”, and spending time at Camp Courageous and on the farm with his great-uncle Don McGrane.

Survivors include his parents, Chris and Deb Krapfl of Manchester; one sister, Kayla Krapfl of Manchester; maternal grandmother, Rita McGrane of Manchester; paternal grandparents, Rollie and Barb Totman of Edgewood; aunts and uncles, Christy (Duane) Hogan of Delhi, Nick (Tina) McGrane of Burlington, Charles McGrane of Des Moines, Carla Newburn of Prairieburg, Lori (Scott) Mathias of Salix, Bev McGrane of Winthrop, Jerry (Brook) McGrane of Dubuque, Dawn McGrane of Manchester, and Kami (Jon) Martin of Evansdale; and step-aunts –and-uncles, Aaron Lincoln of Des Moines, Tabatha (Melvin) Lambert of Elkland, Missouri, and Megan Lincoln of Strawberry Point.

Travis was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth McGrane and paternal grandmother, Wendy Krapfl.
