Rites Friday For Dale P. Ryan, 68, Masonville Man
Dale P. Ryan, 68, lifelong resident of the Masonville community, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Delaware County Memorial hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Ryan will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception church in Masonville with the Rev. M. J. O'Sullivan officiating. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery at Masonville. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 8:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Shelly funeral home where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.
Dale Patrick, son of Thomas O. and Mary Moroney Ryan, was born Nov. 1, 1900 on the parental farm near Masonville. He grew to young manhood on the farm and received his education in the rural schools of Delaware county. He farmed all of his life in the Masonville Community until his retirement in 1959 when he moved in to Masonville to make his home.
Mr. Ryan was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception church at Masonville and a member of the Holy Name Society of the church.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. I. (Pauline) Vander Vanter of Panora; one brother, Raymond T. Ryan of Robbinsdale, Minn., and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
