Funeral services were held Monday in Boulder, Colo., for Doyle Boone, 72, former Manchester and Cedar Rapids resident whose death occurred Friday following a heart attack at the Mesa Vista nursing home in Boulder. Burial was made in Boulder.
Mr. Boone, son of the late Elmer and Luella Boone, was born July 4, 1897, at Edgewood. The family came to Manchester in 1949 and Mr. Boone was employed by the county until 1959 when they moved to Cedar Rapids where he was employed by the Iowa Engineering company prior to moving to Boulder in 1961.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred Bryant; two sons, Donald of Center Point and Duane of Niwot, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Ben (Gloria) Hilsenbeck of Boulder; three brothers, Ivan of Sedgwick, Colo., Jack of Madison, Wis., and Forrest of Minneapolis, Minn., and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Fisher of Edgewood, Mrs. Clarence Cox of Manchester, and Mrs. O. K. (Gertrude) Brown of Sedgwick, Colo.
Mr Boone was preceded in death by his parints and one sister, Mrs. Jack (Elsie) Melchert of Strawberry Point.
