Alfred Lake, 81, Interred Sunday
Services here held Monday for Alfred H. Lake, 81, of Luxemburg, who died Thursday, Dec. 15 at Lancaster Memorial hospital, Lancaster, Wis. Burial was in Holy Trinity Catholic church cemetery at Luxemburg.
Mr. Lake was born Nov. 18, 1896 at Guttenburg to William and Helen (Stoeffler) Lake. He has lived in the Guttenburg and Luxemburg area all his life, where he was engaged in farming. He was married to Mathilda Scheiltz Oct. 20, 1920 at Luxemburg.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Milton of Guttenburg and LaVern (Doc) of Dyersville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Bill of Colesburg and Ray of Dyersville and one sister, Mrs. Tillie Welling of New Vienna.
McBride funeral home, Dyersville was in charge of arrangements.
