James F. Hansel 1860-1938

HANSEL, TINKEY GUINN, MOSER, KULPER

Rev. E. E. Clements, pastor of the Colesburg M. E. church, conducted funeral services for James F. Hansel, held Friday afternoon from the Bethel church. Burial was made at the Bethel cemetery. Mr. Hansel passed away Dec. 29, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 7 days. The son of Jacob and Mary Jane Hansel, he was born July 22, 1860, in Clayton county, where his lifetime was spent. On Nov. 15, 1881, he was united in marriage with Miss Rosella Tinkey, who preceded him in death July 18, 1922. A daughter, Gladys, died in infancy. Surviving are six daughters-Mrs. J. T. Guinn of Arcadia, Fla., Mrs. W. A. Guinn of Hannibal, Wis., Mrs. A. W. Moser, Mrs. Clem Moser, Mrs. John Kulper and Mrs. Ben Kulper, all of this vicinity; two sons, Fred J. Hansel and J. E. Hansel of this vicinity; forty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one brother Jacob G. Hansel, besides other relatives and friends.
