Geo. A. Kuhlman Dies at Colesburg
Was Well Known Farmer of Colony Township. Funeral on Wednesday Afternoon.
George A. Kuhlman, well known farmer of near Colesburg, died at his home early Monday morning, Jan. 3, 1938, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church at Colesburg on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of the Rev. E. E. Clements. Burial will be made in the Zion cemetery.
Mr. Kuhlman, a son of the late Herman Kuhlman, was born on a farm near Colesburg, Feb. 7, 1887, and spent all of his life on the farm. His marriage with Miss Martha Ackman took place in June 1913. Their married life was spent on the farm where his death occurred.
Surviving Mr. Kuhlman are his widow, five children, his mother Mrs. Herman Kuhlman, of Greeley; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Beatty, of Edgewood, Mrs. Ruth Abrams, of Washington D.C., and Mrs. Martha Hackbarth, Greeley; and four brothers, Ed of Manchester, Arthur of Edgewood, Elmer and Clarence, of Greeley.
Mr Kuhlman was a devout member of the Methodist church of Colesburg for many years, and had been very active in the various activities of Delaware County Farm Bureau. He was held in the highest esteem by his neighbors and will be greatly missed in the family circle and by neighbors.
The sympathy of many friends is extended to the family in their great sorrow.
