Dean “Deano” Kruger, 57, of Greeley, Iowa, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He was born on October 5, 1951, at Greeley, the son of Howard and Josephine (Pirnot) Kruger. Dean was raised and educated in the Greeley area and graduated from West Delaware High School in 1969.

Dean was employed at Exide Technologies in Manchester and also employed by the City of Greeley. He enjoyed camping, fishing, canoeing, playing cards, and woodworking. He loved spending time with his friends and especially his family.

Survivors include his three children, Merri Jo (Francis) Moser of Edgewood, Misty (Daniel) Rausch of Manchester, and Travis Kruger and special friend Ashleigh Hunt of Manchester; and three grandchildren, Hunter Moser, Kolton Moser and Hailey Rausch.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Donald and Dale.

Visitation: 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. July 31, 2009 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home - Edgewood, Iowa.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. August 01, 2009 at St. Joseph Church - Greeley, Iowa - Friends may call one hour before services at the church.

Interment: August 01, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery - Greeley, Iowa.
