Simpson/Parker 1882

Orestus J Simpsom (died 30 Jan 1882), was married to Mary Jane Greer(died 07 Jan 1882). He died in Saltcreek, IA from complications of a bullet wound. Family lore has it he was a Militia man who went searching for bandits and was shot. He died soon after leaving behind 5 children. The children were taken in by Orestus's sister Sarah Jane (Simpson) Parker because their mother had also died that year. Does anyone have anymore information on these folks. They are buried in the Bethlehem Cemetary in Davis County.
