John Bennett and Hannah Luther were married about 1835 in or near Westmoreland county, PA. They were the parents of David b.1836, Elizabeth (Betsey) b. 1838, Sarah Agnes b. 25 Jan 1842, Mary (Polly) b.1844, Ellen b.1847 and Margaret Catherine b.1850, John Jr. b.1855. They are found in PA in 1850 and Van Buren county Iowa in 1856 by 1860 they were in Davis county, Iowa. While in Van Buren county Hannah Luther gave birth to a son John Jr. and died shortly after in Nov of 1855 she is buried in Thompson, cemetery. Sarah Agnes Bennett married Andrew J. Lawrence 30 Aug 1863 in Davis county. Ellen Bennett married George W. Conaway 2 Feb 1868, I need marriage dates and names of the spouses for David, Elizabeth (Betsey), Mary (Polly), and Margaret Catherine and John Jr. I believe Ellen died after the birth of her second child Sarah B. Conaway in Scotland, County. George and Ellen and son George W. b. 1869 are on the 1870 census for Scotland county, MO and that is the last I find her. Sarah B. Conaway is living with her grandparents John and Elizabeth Bennett on the 1880 census for Davis county and her father has remarried and moved to Texas. The son George W. is not with the father or grandparents so he could have died or was living with another family in Davis county. Can someone check the marriage records for the late 1860's and early 1870's to see if their is a marriage date for the other six children listed. Someone said John Jr. married a Blanche but the 1870 census shows two David Bennett's in Davis county, one with a Jane and the other with a Mabel. John Bennett Sr. married Hannah Luther's sister Elizabeth Luther maybe in Davis county before 1860. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
