coroner's juries

I need to know if there are records for any coroner's juries that might have been kept at the state level or in Davis County when there was a suspicious death. I have read that some of the other counties in Iowa indeed had such juries as early as 1838, so I'm wondering if there might be records in the 1853-56 time frame. If anyone knows or has experience in this area, please let me know at dhackle@cox.net Thanks, Dar
