Services were 22 June 1997 for Bessie J. Lindquist, 83, of Ida Grove, formerly of Odebolt and Ogden, Utah at Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Odebolt. The Rev Victor Johnson officiated with burial in Odebolt Cemetery. Mrs. Lindquist died 17 June 1997 at the Morningside Care Center in Ida Grove.

Mrs. Lindquist was born on 21 May 1914 in Odebolt, the daughter of James P. and Mary (Robinson) Blount. She attended school in Odebolt. She married Earl Joseph Lindquist in Odebolt on 15 Nov 1931. The couple made their home in Odebolt and later moved to Ogden, Utah. After retiring, the couple wintered in Texas and Arizona. He died in 1989. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Odebolt.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Robert and Alice Lindquist of Odebolt and John and Kay Lindquist of North Ogden, Utah; two daughters, Laura L. and her husband, James Carpenter of Syracuse, Utah, and Marilyn Banta of Roy, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Docia Torbert of Perry and Ada Henderson of Santee, Calif.
