Passed Away on Saturday Night, February 8; Had Been Ill for Some Time

Funeral services were held in Kiron Wednesday, February 12, for Mrs. Rueben Buller, who passed away Saturday night, Feb. 8. The services were held at the Free Mission church with Rev. Clayton Frederick officiating and Rev. Carl Holmberg of the Baptist church assisting. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Ann Garner, Mrs. LeRoy Scheldorf, Glenn Goetsch and Reverend Frederick. They sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "There'll Be No Disappointment in Heaven."

Interment was in the Kiron community cemetery. Casket bearers were C. B. Larson, Jubel Mauritz, L. A. Larson, H. L. Ward, B. E. Lindstrom and Arthur Jacobson.

Relatives and friends from a distance were Mrs. Floyd Ehret, Denver, Colorado; Archie Norelius, Wall Lake; Mrs. Roy Swanson, Omaha, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Quade, Ida Grove; Mrs. Owen Stoner and Alice Lea, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nordell and daughter and Mrs. Louis Moorehouse, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Wes Sevde, Des Moines, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Clauson, Ames.

Obituary

Sadie Adelia Buller, nee Bergstrom, was born in Lynn Center, Illinois, June 23, 1884, and passed away Feb 9, 1947, having reached the age of 62 years, 7 months and 8 days.

She came to this community at the age of 12 and resided with her parents until her marriage to R. H. Buller on July 2, 1913.

To this union three children were born, one passing away in infancy.

They lived on a farm north of Old Kiron for three years and moved to Kiron in 1917, where they have resided since.

She was ever willing to give a helping hand, and was active in the Ladies Aid and Missionary societies of the Mission church. For many years she was on the flower committee at the church.

She is survived by her husband, R. H. Buller; one daughter Ruby (Mrs. Howard Purdy) of Carnavon; one son, Seldon of Kiron; two sisters, Emma (Mrs. F. Ehret ) of Denver, Colorado; Edna (Mrs. J. B. Rogsdale ) of Sierraville, California; and one brother, John Bergstrom of Sierraville, California and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Marjorie, one brother Edward Bergstrom, and one sister Mrs. Anna Norelius, who passed away only two months ago.

She had been ill for three weeks but was improving so much that she could be up for a short time each day. On Wednesday morning she suffered a stroke from which she never rallied.
