Mrs. Tilda Anderson was born in Halsingborg, Skåne, Sweden, November 9, 1874. She came to America in her early youth and arrived in Chicago from Sweden in 1892. After several months she came to the Kiron community and has lived here since that time. In 1894 he was united thru marriage to Charles Anderson, who preceded her in death in 1912.

Mrs. Anderson became a Christian and was baptized into the membership of the First Baptist Church of Kiron on Sept. 22, 1929. During these years as a member of the church, she has always shown her interest and devotion in every action, to the glory of God.

During the past few years Mrs. Anderson had not felt well. On Tuesday evening, April 25th, she retired complaining of pain in her body, and confined to her bed, was tenderly cared for in her hour of need. The pain not being relieved she was rushed to the Carroll hospital where she passed peacefully away on Saturday morning April 29, 1944. at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

Left to mourn her departure are two sons, Ernest Anderson of Kiron, and Harry Anderson of Iowa City. They have been faithful in their love and devotion for the welfare of their mother. She also leaves four brothers, Albert Bergren of Chicago, Joe, Otto and Albin of Sweden, and a host of intimate friends.

From a clipping in her Bilbe:
" The blood has always precious been,
'Tis precious now to me;
'Thru it alone my soul has rest.
From fear and doubt set free.
Oh, wondrous is the crimson tide
Which from my Savior flowed.
And still in heaven my song shall be,
The precious, precious blood."

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, May 2, at 2 o'clock from the Kiron Baptist Church, Rev. S. Bruce Fleming officiating. Kenneth Johnson sang a Swedish hymn and a duet was sung by Elaine and Warren Larson with Velma Larson at the piano.
Pall bearers were: V. H. Youngquist, Vernie and Jubel Winquist, Albin Malmquist, Glenn Goetsch, and Oscar Johnson. Interment was made in the Kiron cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peterson and daughter of Schaller, attended the services.
