Erick Anderson, a long time and well-known resident of Ida County was found dead in bed Thursday December 20, 1923. He had been sick about a week. He was born in Varo (Värö?) Becka Socken, Halland, Sweden 10 October 1840. He was 83 years, 2 months and 10 days old.

He came to America in 1870. He was married in 1871 to Anna Lena Bengtsdotter in Denison. In 1880 they moved to Ida County where he was a farmer. His wife died 1 February 1902. Survivors are his children, Alma, Addic, Anna and Ida. Three children died in early life. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Swedish Baptist Church with burial in the Arthur Cemetery.
