Carl Edward Anderson passed away at his home in old Kiron, Thursday evening following a lingering illness of more than a years duration. Mr. Anderson was through his illness a patient sufferer and was given the very best of care by his devoted wife.

Carl Edward Anderson was born in Halland Lan, Varby(Varberg?), Sweden on 24 Feb 1866 and passed away on 29 March 1934 at the age of 68 years, 1 month, and 5 days. He came to America in the year 1892 when he came direct to this locality which has been his home ever since with the exception of four years spent in Woodbury county. He was united in marriage to Miss Alma Anderson in 1908. A year ago they purchased their home in old Kiron which was his home up to the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn him his devoted wife, one brother in this country, Albert Anderson of Marathon, Iowa, one brother and three sisters in Sweden and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Anderson was of a quiet nature. He was a devoted husband and brother a fine neighbor and friend, square in his dealings with his fellowmen and was well liked by all who knew him. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Sweden.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home and at two o'clock from the Ev. Free Mission church conducted by the pastor, Rev. H. A. Faugerstrom. Special singing was rendered. The pall bearers were neighbors and friends, namely N. E. Larson, Carl Gustafson, Arthur Jacobson, George Johnson, Walter Buller and Raymond Larson.

Interment was made in the Hayes township, cemetery. Peace be to his memory.
