Seeking any info on this couple:

In 1880 William "Maggis" is 38, a laborer, living in Lyons City, Clinton Co, Iowa
Louise is keeping house, age 36
Fred is 15, at school
Herman is 9, at school

In 1885 William and "Anna" and Daughter "Magi" are living in Arcadia, Carroll Co, IOwa. He is 43, she is 40, and Magi is 9.

June 1900 Arcadia Twp, Carroll Co, Iowa.William Meggers, a farmer: this William Meggers b in Dec 1841 in Germany. His wife is Thedora b June 1844 in Germany. He came in 1866, she in 1872. Next door is Margaret and her husband August Schultz, daughter Margaret (b Dec 1893) and son Albert (Nov 1898). Theodora has to be an error, this is Louise Anna.

1901 Clinton City, City Directory, lists "Hans W Meggers" retired, and wife Louise, living at 605 6th Street. Herman Meggers (Ola) - wife?) is listed at 132 6th Avenue, a barber. A William Meggers also lives at 605 6th St, and is a locksmith.

In 1910 William H is 65, Louise A is 66. They indicate that they came to the US in 1868. Their son Herman lives with them, is 40 and runs his own barber shop. They still reside at 629 6th St.

On March 5, 1920 Louise is now missing. William is 78 "wd" (widowed?) and is living with his son in law, August Schultz. In the January 12 Clinton City census, Louise is living with their son Herman who is 49 running a barber shop - Louise is 76, showing "wd" (widowed).

In 1930 Louise is 86, owns her own home valued at $2500. Her son, Herman lives with her and is 59. Louise indicates that her mother was born in Holstein Germany. Her father was born in Schlesing or Schleswig Germany, as was Louise. They are living at 2908 ?? street in Clinton City, ward 7 right around the corner from 30th St. in Clinton Co, Iowa.
