Arthur MEEHAN was born May 22, 1826 in Co Monaghan, Ireland, and died April 26, 1871 in Charlotte Iowa. He was married to Mary BLANCHFIELD b. May 17, 1835 in Kilkeny, Ireland, d. January 19, 1905. Have heard that possibly they came by way of Ottawa, Canada, but can not prove it. They had six children. Bernard MEIGHAN, James MEEHAN, Thomas MEEHAN, Mary E. MEEHAN, Mary A. MEIGHAN, Bridget MEIGHAN.
