James L. Sample & Minnie Koonz

My query concerns James L. SAMPLE and Minnie (KOONZ) SAMPLE of which I descend. James L SAMPLE was born 1862 Iowa and married Minnie KOONZ from Germany December 22, 1884 in Keokuk. They had eight children Charles, James, Florence, Minnie, Herbert, Eva, Helen and remained in Keokuk until about 1905. The family moved to Dewitt, Clinton County, Iowa were Minnie (KOONZ) SAMPLE passed away at her home in Dewitt September 25, 1922 and James L SAMPLE was reported to have died due to a automobile accident near Dewitt about 1936 and may be entered with his wife in Elmwood century. I am trying to find out the parents of James L. SAMPLE and Minnie (KOONZ) any help you could give me will be greatly appreciated.
