Does anyone know if Iowa keeps birth records prior to 1880? I'm looking for John Greve born in 1872 in Teeds Grove, Clinton Co., Iowa. Also, I'm looking through the census for 1880 and Teeds Grove is not listed as a township. Does anyone know what township it would be considered part of? I have Brookfield, Camanche, Lyons, Orange, Spring Rock and Welton to chose from. Thanks ever so much!
