Hi,
In the same site in which you posted your query - the Clinton County site, use the Biographies and/or Obituaries page and search on Ankeny. There are numerous entries posted, which could help you track back to the maternal side of your family. The Ankeny name is prominent in Clinton, so you should have some good leads. I was always fascinated with J.D. Lamb's house relocation story. A new home has finally been constructed on the old site overlooking Clinton, but comes nowhere near close to filling the space, either in size or beauty. Good luck.
