7 drowned 1880

In the List of Deaths for July 1880 it is noted that "Annie, Hugh, James, Katherine, Mary, William, and Hanna were drowned when bridge washed away. No last names were given" Does anyone have any information on this story. I am looking for Hugh Winters and the last reference I can find for him is the 1880 Census which was done June 3, 1880.
