George Glynn, Clinton Police Officer 1924

GLYNN

I am researching George Glynn. Family lore has him as a cop in Clinton Co. after 1924. During prohibition he supposedly tangled with some bootleggers, shooting one of them, The others overpowered him and beat him severely and spiked him to the railroad tracks which he escaped from. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or research material that might be available to confirm or deny this story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
