Cambridge Place Apartments

I just moved into some apartments in Clinton, Iowa, called Cambridge Place Apartments. Rumors here state that these apartments used to be a military hospital. While others have said it used to be a nursing home. I conducted research and looked at all clinton sites, including the clinton Iowa Historical Society. I was wondering if anyone knows what these buildings used to be for sure. Thank you for your help!
