Looking for info re my Erastus Fairman who was enumerated in the 1840 Scott Co IA census. His wife Amy and their children were counted in the Clinton Co IA census for that year. By the time the rest of the family turned up in the 1850 Bureau Co IL census, Erastus has disappeared. He may died there in Clinton Co - is anyone searching this line?
