Thanks Dick. On the 1880 list they are written as being born at Schleiswick. Would this be in the States, or is it Schleswig Germany. There seems to be a variation in the spelling throughout the list. We suspect the name has changed over the years, a possibility is Nickelsen or similar. Sorry, Picton is miles away. Jan
