DAVENPORT — Ruby J. Miller, 68, of Davenport, passed away at her home Thursday, January 29, 2009, following a courageous nine year battle with cancer.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.Mrs. Miller was born July 26, 1940, in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of John and Rosetta (Renard) Martin.On December 23, 1988, she married Harold D. Miller in Davenport.She had formerly been employed at Miller Container in Davenport and Albany Landing in Albany, IL.Survivors include her husband, Harold; children, Tina Allen, Carla (Frank) Winoski, Richard Hanson, Walter (Lynne) Hanson, Harold Jr. (Pauline) Miller, Debbie Drinnin, Cindy (Tim) Zimmerman, Tina (Greg) Rassi; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Karlene (John) Walters, John W. (Donna Faye) Martin, Betty (Reggie) Biggs, Judy (Bob) Temple and Kenneth L. Martin.She was preceded in death by her mother, father and infant son, Scotty.Death date: Jan. 29, 2009
