The Clinton Herald Saturday September 22, 1900 p. 3 Death of John Lindmeier:
John H. Lindmeier died a his home on Eighth Street at 9:20 o'clock Friday morning after an illness of nearly a year from consumption. He was 38 years of age and had lived in Lyons nearly twenty years. He is survived by his wife and two children, aged twelve and three years. The funeral will be held Sunday. Deceased was a member of New Era Camp, W.O.W., under whose auspices it is expected that the funeral will be held.

Death of John H. Lindmeier at His Home in This City.
The death of John H. Lindmeier, which was briefly noted in the Herald Friday, occurred at his home in Lyons Friday morning, shortly after 9 O'clock, after a lingering illness with consumption.
The deceased was born in Hampshire township, this county, in 1862, and has always made his home in the county, and the past several years in Lyons. He was a miller by trade, and prior to his illness was employed at Struve's flour mill. He is survived by his wife an two children, Fred, aged 11, and Catherine 3 years. His mother and one brother, in Fulton, and Three brothers, in Chicago, also survive him.
