MORRISON, Ill. — Hilda S. Blunt, 92, of Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, died Monday, December 29, 2008, at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Selburg, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Morrison, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until the time of the funeral service Sunday, January 11, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Camp Creek Cemetery, Macomb, IL, on Monday, January 12, 2009, with private family graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. She was born February 9, 1916, in Plymouth, England, to Albert H. and Anna (Clapp) Bastable. Hilda was a graduate of Macomb High School and Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL. She married Lawrence W. Blunt on June 11, 1944, in Macomb, IL. He died September 6, 1997. Following the death of her father, she emigrated to the U.S. in 1920 and lived south of Macomb, IL. She taught for 24 years at the Morrison Jr. High School, Morrison, IL, retiring in 1984. Survivors include two sons, James C. (Linda) Blunt, Vancouver, WA, and John (Marjorie) Blunt, Fulton, IL; and one granddaughter, Stacey Moret, Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; three sisters, Anne Persinger, Emma Pugh, Myrtle Jepson; and two brothers, James Bastable and Frank Bastable.To send online condolences go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: Dec. 29, 2008#
