Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 28 May 1897. Local Scrap Bag column.
An old and respected resident of Strawberry Point died May 20, in the person of Mr. E. B. Williams. Deceased was 65 years old, and his advanced age, combined with heart trouble, which was his disease hastened his death. For 20 years past he has been engaged in the drug business, but sold out last fall to Barnes Brothers. A wife and three children - a son living in Chicago, a daughter in California, a daughter living at home - survive him. The funeral was held Saturday under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity.
