DIED - of Diptheria, Nov. 8, 1861, Alice Wilson, daughter of Frederick and Hannah V. Wilson, aged about 6 years.
Alice was a punctual attendant at the Baptist Sabbath School and one who loved to hear about the Saviour. While sick Alice made frequent inquiries in regard to Heaven, wishing her mother to tell her what kind of a place it was. Often would she tell her mother that she wanted to go live with God. Her wish has been gratified, her desires realized.
Sweet Alice has been transplanted from this to
"Those heavenly gardens,
Where angels walk and seraphs are the wardens
Where every flower bro't safe thro' death's dark portal
Becomes immortal""Earthly parents weep not o'er her,
To another parent's breast,
On the wings of love death bore her,
To the kingdom of the blest,
Where the weeping eyelids [illegible] her,
Dwell, she now in perfect rest."
