GARBER: Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 2:00 p.m. for Louis Henry Feidt. Burial was at Mt. Harmony cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. Warren A. Bintz of Earlville.
Louis Henry Feidt was born to John and Alice Feidt in Clayton county near Garber on Dec. 23, 1894. In 1918 he joined the Army in the World War and was overseas until the armistice was signed. He was honorably discharged and returned home July 05, 1919.
On September 18, 1926, he was married to Etta Williams and soon after moved to Cedar Falls, which had been his home until his death Dec. 10, 1941, of a stroke.
He leaves to mourn his death his widow, six sisters, Katie Hansel, Dora Hansel, Bertha Hansel, Susie McDowell, Alzina Hindal, and Irene Beyer; three brothers, Ira, Frank, and Edmund, and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Hymns were sung by Rev. Bintz and Fred Schaub of Earlville.
Pallbearers were six nephews, Vernon, Leo, Merlin, Lewis and Roy Hansel, and Harley Hindal.
