Miss Anna Thorson*, daughter of Halvor and Eli Thorson, was born Dec. 10, 1856, in Norway and came to America with her parents when a small child. After the death of her parents she spent a short time in Minnesota but was called back to Iowa to care for her sister, Mrs. Herbran Knudson.
After the death of Mrs. Knudson she made her home with another sister, Mrs. Oliver Crary. The past 15 years she has lived with her nephew, Arthur Crary, and family.
Sunday, Nov. 02, she suffered a stroke which was followed by another Monday night. She died Wednesday, Nov. 05, at 10:30 o'clock, leaving several nieces and nephews to mourn her departure.
Funeral services were held at the Arthur Crary home Friday afternoon at 1:30 and at Norway Lutheran church at 2 o'clock.
She was buried beside her parents in the Norway cemetery with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating at the services.
Casketbearers were: Emil Hoth, Alex Schneider, Oscar Possehl, Ewald Hardt, Louis Eberhardt and Fred Hoffman.
