Falls City, Neb., Oct 23 - The funeral of Asa Veach was held yesterday afternoon from the Christian church. The Masons of which the deceased was an honored member, attened in a body.
Mr. Veach died at the age of eighty-one. He was one of Richardson county's pioneers. He came to the county in an early day and at the time of his death was rich in this world's goods.
He leaves several grown children.

Note: Asa Veach was an early resident of Farmersburg twp., his 1st wife Nancy (Parks) Veach and son John M. Veach, are buried in the National cemetery. He was a well-known horse trader in Clayton county, and left in the late 1860s following the deaths of his wife & son. Burial is in Steele cemetery, Falls City, NE.
