Funeral services for Arthur M. Ihde, 53, who died at his home in Farmersburg township at 2 p.m., Dec. 28, 1945, following a long illness, were held at the Zion's Lutheran church at Clayton Center on Monday, Dec. 31. The Rev. J. H. Zerhausen officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Arthur Max Ihde was born in Boardman township on Oct. 26, 1892, the son of Charles and Bertha Ihde. He received his education in the rural schools near his home and assisted his father on the home farm. On Feb. 11, 1914 he was married to Miss Hilma Schmidt. They started house keeping on a farm in Farmersburg township which has since been their home.
He is survived by his wife, his son Harold of Farmersburg, two daughters, Mrs. Roslyn Lemke, of Elkader, and Evelyn at home, his father, Charles Ihde, and two grandchildren.
