DIED - At McGregor, September 9th, of Diptheria Croup, Anna R. Freeman, aged 17 months and 21 days -- the only child of A.L. and Maria Freeman, of the American Hotel.
We most sincerely console with the bereaved parents in this heart-rending affliction. the "play-ground" of the little cherub was just opposite to and on a level with our office desk; we have often seen the once happy mother dividing the joys of life with her interesting child; but now, alas, the dear one shall no more present its rosy mouth to be kissed, its tearful eye to be dried or its young heart to be soothed by a mother's caresses. "God gave and God hath taken away."
The body was deposited in the Prairie du Chien burying ground in a metalic case; it will be removed to Ohio.
